SriLankan Airlines (UL, Colombo International) has secured six A320neo on lease from each of Air Lease Corporation and AerCap Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suren Ratwatte has disclosed.
Speaking to the Economy Next magazine, Ratwatte said the first of the aircraft will arrive in the first quarter of 2017 with the remaining five during the course of 2017 and 2018.
Four of the planes have been leased from Air Lease Corporation and two from AerCap, he said.
As previously reported, SriLankan's A320neo operations are set to begin on February 1, 2017 with daily services from Colombo International to each of Kuala Lumpur International and Abu Dhabi International.
