Freebird Airlines (FH, Istanbul Airport) has revived plans to enter the scheduled passenger market Turkish aviation portal, airtürkhaber, has reported.
Airline sources who spoke to the site said Freebird Airlines was looking to start regular flights between its Izmir Adnan Menderes hub and unspecified points in Germany using a pair of A320-200s initially. No time frames were revealed.
Until now Freebird Airlines has mainly used its fleet of eight A320-200s for passenger charter flights. More recent customers have included Saudi Arabia's flynas (XY, Riyadh) (two A320s) and LCC VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi Noi Bai International).
