ExpressJet Airlines (Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has announced it will close its Shreveport Regional MRO facility next year with the loss of 300 jobs.
Airline spokeswoman Bobbie Battista told KTBS-TV that the hangar, which handles the Embraer Regional Jets, would close by June with all associated operations to be shifted to its main Knoxville McGhee Tyson facility.
A production carrier, ExpressJet Airlines operates American Eagle services on behalf of American Airlines, Delta Connection services on behalf of Delta Air Lines, and United Express services on behalf of United Airlines. Its fleet according to the ch-aviation fleet database currently totals 298 jets including: sixty-six CRJ200ERs; thirty-five CRJ700s; twenty-eight CRJ900ERs; five E135LRs; 103 E145LRs; and sixty-one ERJ 145XRs.
