Yunnan Jingcheng Group, the parent firm of China's Ruili Airlines (DR, Kunming Changshui), has outlined additional plans for its Cambodian start-up, JC International Airlines (JCC, Phnom Penh).
According to a business plan seen by the Phnom Penh Post, JC International Airlines is looking to complete its certification in time for a February 2017 launch. Thereafter, using a fleet of six 160-180 seater aircraft, presumably B737-800s as originally stated, it will offer passenger flights from Cambodia to Malaysia, Singapore, and China.
Once operational, JC International will compete with the likes of Bassaka Air, Cambodia Angkor Air, Cambodia Bayon Airlines, Sky Angkor Airlines and another start-up carrier, Small Planet Airlines Cambodia (LKH, Phnom Penh).
