Express Air Cargo (7A, Tunis) has taken delivery of its maiden aircraft the AeroTunisie flight blog has confirmed.
B737-300(QC) TS-ICA (msn 23836) was positioned from Vilnius to Tunis Carthage International Airport on Friday, January 13. Configured in an all-freight layout, the twenty-nine year-old aircraft is powered by CFM56-3B2 motors. It will shortly be joined by B737-300(F) msn 24710 which is currently at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen undergoing pre-delivery maintenance checks.
As previously reported, the Tunisian cargo specialist secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Tunisian Ministry of Transportation in October last year. At the time, management indicated initial operations would cover Paris CDG, Cologne/Bonn, Milan Bergamo, and Malta International in Europe, Algiers and Casablanca Mohamed V in North Africa, and Dubai World Central in the Middle East.
