Kasper Aviation has had its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) suspended by the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA), reports CBC News.
The passenger charter carrier, based out of Thunder Bay in southern Ontario, was issued with the notice on December 14, 2016, and has one year to address the requirements or risk the outright cancellation of its AOC. The violations are in regard to having an aviation document in respect of the service provided.
Kasper was awarded a certificate for domestic operations in February 2015, and an international license in April the same year.
In a statement to TB News Watch, owner Kasper Wabinski said that his company is undergoing a restructure in order to have the AOC reinstated.
"We will be up and flying shortly. We have a new and better team, and will have more aircraft," Wabinski said. He anticipates that Kasper Airlines will be operational again by early February.
