Ibex Airlines (FW, Sendai) has confirmed it will phase out the CRJ200 from commercial service during the course of this year.
Outlining its proposed 2017 summer season schedule, the carrier said the move would allow it to streamline its operations around the CRJ700 of which it currently operates eight.
According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, Ibex Air's CRJ-200 fleet is down to one aircraft - JA03RJ (msn 7624). Sistership JA04RJ (msn 7798) was withdrawn from service late last year before being ferried to Ljubljana, Slovenia, where it is currently in storage.
Founded in 2004, Ibex Airlines serves eleven destinations around Japan for ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) under the ANA Connection banner.
