Genesis Global Aviation (GGG, Lagos) is a Nigerian start-up carrier planning to operate rotary as well as fixed-wing aircraft.
Having secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) last week, Genesis Global Aviation chairman, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho, told The Nation newspaper that it plans to proffer a fleet of six Airbus Eurocopter EC155B1 helicopters to international petroleum firms for use in charter flights to offshore and swamp production facilities. It also plans to avail the helicopters to the ad-hoc/ACMI charter market, he said.
According to its website, Genesis Aviation plans to acquire ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop freighters in the longrun to handle “bulk cargo” services both within and outside Nigeria.
