Turpial Airlines (T9, Valencia Arturo Michelena International) has commenced scheduled passenger flights after securing its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Venezuelan civil aviation authority (Instituto Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil - INAC) late last month.
The start-up's inaugural return service - a 4x weekly Valencia Arturo Michelena International-Panamá City Tocumen International flight - took place on Friday, April 7, and was operated by one of its three B737-400s, YV613T (msn 24795).
Turpial Airlines also plans to serve Maracaibo and Porlamar domestically.
