CAAMS Leasing has confirmed it has repossessed its two DHC-6-300s - PK-HVM (msn 620) and PK-HVN (msn 389) - from Indonesian operator Dimonim Air (Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta).
In a statement to ch-aviation, the US-based lessor's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Everette Mash III said legal action against Dimonim Air has already been taken to recover over USD1 million in outstanding dues. CAAMS has since requested the Indonesian civil aviation authority to deregister the aircraft as they are now available for immediate sale or lease.
Dimonim Air initially disputed the aircraft's return while later declining to comment on CAAMS's version of events.
The Indonesian carrier has five Cessna (single turboprop) aircraft, one PAC-750, three Eurocopter AS350s, and one Kamov KA-32T helicopter remaining in its fleet, operating flights throughout Indonesia.
