Wisconsin-based FBO provider Lakeshore Aviation has unveiled plans to launch a new regional carrier, Midwest Express Airlines (Milwaukee General Mitchell).
According to the start-up's webpage, it is looking for investors and new team members to help complete certification before launching regular flights.
Operationally, Midwest Express Airlines aims to fill the operational gap left at Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport since Midwest Express (1983) (Milwaukee General Mitchell) and its successor, Midwest Airlines (Milwaukee General Mitchell), were merged into Frontier Airlines (F9, Denver International) in 2009.
Midwest Airlines' operations at General Mitchell Airport entailed scheduled flights to twenty-one cities across the United States while its regional partner Skyway Airlines (Milwaukee General Mitchell), operating as Midwest Connect, served nearly thirty destinations throughout the Central United States.
