The sale of an Airbus A310-200 at Bangkok Don Mueang airport has failed to attract any bidders, reports the Bangkok Post. With a reserve price of THB30 million (USD900,000), the 31-year-old aircraft will go back to auction on September 27 with a 10% discount.
Formerly in service with P.C. Air (Bangkok Don Mueang), HS-PCC (msn 419) was seized at Seoul Incheon in January 2012 over unpaid landing fees and fuel bills. Despite attempts to find new investors and relaunch, the Thai airline went bust later that year. The aircraft was most recently owned by Asia Konnex Airlines; it was seized again when Konnex lost a legal case with law firm Watson, Farley and Williams Thailand Co.
On top of the reserve price, the successful bidder would be expected to pay the parking fees of THB10,700 (USD320) per day which, as at September 6, stands at a total of THB4.3 million (USD130,000).
