Simrik Airlines (Kathmandu) is planning to upgauge its fleet capacity following the disposal of its two Do228s to fellow Nepali operator Sita Air (Kathmandu) earlier this year.
According to Aviation Nepal, Simrik Airlines is currently left with a reduced fleet of two Beech 1900Cs to service its domestic network. As such, its revised fleeting plan calls for three aircraft to be acquired over the coming seven to eight months.
“The additional aircraft could be ATR or CRJ," Prajwol Thapa, Simrik Airlines' Marketing Director, said. "The airline is planning to add three aircraft focusing to expand its flights and meet the demand of increasing air service."
A decision will be taken during the next airline board management meeting.
