Real Tonga Airlines (Tongatapu) has commenced scheduled international flight operations with the recent launch of a 2x weekly return service from Tongatapu to Apia Faleolo, Samoa, via Vava'u.
Operations commenced on December 18, 2017, and are onboard Saab 340B equipment. According to an airline statement, the flights have been timed to coincide with those to Pago Pago from Apia Fagali'i operated by Samoa Airways (OL, Apia Faleolo) and the weekly Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) service between Faleolo and Honolulu.
Aside from this service, Real Tonga also offers extensive connectivity throughout the Tongan islands using a Y12E and an MA-60.
