MAT Macedonian Airlines (Skopje) is now reportedly also facing increased pressure again to change its name in addition to paying off its debt to Eurocontrol to be allowed to resume services to Germany and Italy. Greece has been against the name Macedonia being used for both the country and the branding of its flag carrier ever since Macedonia became independent in the early 1990s. MAT is blaming Greece for abusing the Eurocontrol dispute to increase pressure on Macedonia.
