British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) has signed a commitment with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for three B777-300(ER)s.
According to an announcement made during the 2018 Farnborough Air Show, the IAG International Airlines Group unit will take the B777s on an operating lease with an unspecified leasing company.
British Airways is an existing operator of the B777 Family employing three B777-200s, forty-three B777-200(ER)s, and twelve B777-300(ER)s. It currently owns the majority of its B777s, except for five -200(ER)s and four -300(ER)s which are leased.
