Cello Aviation (Birmingham, GB) has announced it has ceased trading as of Friday, October 12. A statement on the carrier's website served only to notify the public of the termination of activities and to apologize to all affected customers.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based Gill Group, Cello Aviation had specialized in ACMI/VIP charter operations using a fleet of one ARJ-100 (which recently concluded a wet-lease contract with HOP! (France)) and a B737-300.
It held a UK Civil Aviation Authority Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and Type A Operating Licence for worldwide operations.
