Corendon Airlines (XC, Antalya) has announced it will take delivery of its first B737-9 in May 2019. In a statement, the Turkish leisure specialist said the jet would, in fact, be placed with its Corendon Dutch Airlines (CD, Amsterdam Schiphol) unit for use during the Summer 2019 season.

In August this year, Corendon said it would add three more B737-8s to its current fleet of one in May and June 2019 with the third and final one due in May 2020.

Corendon Dutch Airlines currently operates three B737-800s on scheduled charter flights from Amsterdam Schiphol to each of Banjul, Fuerteventura, Hurghada, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife Sur as well as between Maastricht and Banjul. One aircraft will also be deployed to Curaçao on a winter-long wet-lease contract with Divi Divi Air (3R, Curaçao). The jet will be used to connect Curacao with Aruba, St. Maarten, Brasília Juscelino Kubitschek International, and São Paulo Guarulhos.
