Air Batumi (Batumi) is a new Georgian carrier that has started operations with a single ex-Hola Airlines B737-300 that it has currently wet-leased to Ariana Afghan Airlines (FG/Kabul). It has also wet-leased a Saab 340 from Direct Aero Services (DSV/Bucharest Baneasa) to start scheduled services: Batumi-Tbilisi: 5x weekly Saab 340 service has started on May 30 Tbilisi-Samsun: weekly Saab 340 service starting on September 14 Tbilisi-Trabzon: weekly Saab 340 service starting on August 16 It is planning to add Antalya, Astana, Baku, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Kiev, Sharm el Sheikh, Tehran, Tel Aviv and Yerevan to its network later this year.
