Líneas Aéreas Suramericanas (Bogotá) has taken delivery of its first B737-300(F) following the arrival of HK-5312 (msn 29334) in Bogotá from Miami Opa-Locka on April 1.
Formerly CC-ASQ with LAW - Latin American Wings, the 20-year-old P2F-converted freighter joins the Colombian cargo specialist's fleet of one B727-100(F) and five B727-200(F)s all of which are used to run flights throughout Colombia as well as Latin America.
The carrier also has two B737-800(BCF)s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). Collectively, the B737s will be used to replace the B727s which now average 41 years of age.
