Edelweiss Air (WK, Zurich) has decided to keep its single A330-200 and to now operate with two long-haul aircraft, its ex-Swiss (LX/Zurich) A330-200 and its new A330-300 delivered this spring. It has launched new leisure routes from its Geneva and Zurich bases with parent Swiss (LX/Zurich) codesharing on all of these routes: Geneva-Larnaca: weekly seasonal A320-200 service has started on May 13 Geneva-Las Palmas: weekly A320-200 service has started on May 19 Geneva-Mykonos-Santorini-Geneva: weekly seasonal A320-200 service starting on July 6 Geneva-Tenerife Sur: weekly A320-200 service has started on May 16 Zurich-Beijing: weekly seasonal A330-200 service between July 7 and October 14 Zurich-Beirut: 3x weekly seasonal A320-200 service has started on June 10 Zurich-Cape Town: 2x weekly seasonal A330-200 service starting on November 1 Zurich-Chania: weekly seasonal A320-200 service between July 3 and August 7 Zurich-Colombo Bandaranaike Intl-Male-Zurich: 2x weekly A330-300 service resuming on October 31 (1 of the 2 weekly flights operating in the opposite direction) Zurich-Dalaman: weekly seasonal A320-200 service (already launched) Zurich-Orlando Intl: weekly seasonal A330-200 service between July 2 and September 10 Zurich-Samos: weekly seasonal A320-200 service has started on May 31 Zurich-Vancouver: weekly seasonal A330-300 service between June 1 and September 14 (in addition to triangle flight via Calgary) Zurich-Whitehorse-Anchorage-Zurich: weekly seasonal A330-200 service between May 30 and September 12 Edelweiss will however give up serving Puerto Plata on October 27 and no longer operated to Goa next winter season as it did in previous years. Its Zurich-Djerba route has also not been resumed.
