CSA Czech Airlines (Prague Václav Havel) has not resumed its routes from Prague to Brno, Dubrovnik, Heraklion, Munich, Split and Thessaloniki as previously announced and has also dropped Astana, Cairo and Damascus from its route network. CSA has retired its four ATR 72-200s and will also terminate its Prague-Tel Aviv Ben Gurion route on October 30. It has also started codesharing with AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines (J2/Baku) on the Prague-Baku services operated by AZAL after plans to serve Baku and Hanoi by CSA have been given up or at least postponed. It will enter into a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways (EY/Abu Dhabi Intl) as of September to offer connections via Abu Dhabi when this new route is launched. In an interesting development CSA and Air France (AF/Paris CDG) have given up their codeshare agreement as of March 27 even though both carriers are Skyteam alliance members and Air France sister carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL/Amsterdam) continues to cooperate with CSA.
