Jordan Aviation (R5, Amman Queen Alia) has deployed its A330-200 JY-JVA (msn 409) on transatlantic flights after it recently secured ETOPS certification, a first for the company.
Airline chairman Mohammad Al-Khashman said in a statement the 18-year-old jet was recently used by the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service to ferry El Salvadorean UN peacekeepers from Bamako, Mali to San Salvador International, El Salvador over the course of August 9-12.
Jordan Aviation operates both ACMI/charter flights as well as scheduled passenger services. According to the ch-aviation fleets module, it employs three A320-200s (of which one is wet-leased to Cubana), two A330-200s, three B737-300s (one of which is wet-leased from to Royal Jordanian), one B737-400, and two B767-200(ER)s (of which one is wet-leased to Sky Prime Aviation Services).
