Aircalin (SB, Nouméa La Tontouta) has scheduled its last A330-200 flight for September 28-29, 2019, ch-aviation schedule analysis has revealed.
The New Caledonian flag carrier plans to operate the last flight of the A330-200 from Papeete to Nouméa La Tontouta as SB601. Currently, Aircalin also deploys the type to Osaka Kansai. By the time the A330-200 is retired, it will also have operated some more select flights to Brisbane International, Melbourne Tullamarine, Tokyo Narita, and Sydney Kingsford Smith.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Aircalin currently has two A330-200s, of which only one, F-OJSE (msn 510), is still active. The other aircraft, F-OHSD (msn 507), has been stored since August 9, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. Both are 16.8-year-old units and are dry-leased from GA Telesis Capital Management.
Aircalin is replacing the -200s with A330-900s. It already operates one such aircraft and is due to take delivery of a second one shortly.
The airline does not operate any other widebody aircraft.
