Air Botswana (BP, Gaborone) has put its only ATR42-500 A2-ABN (msn 507) up for sale. The 23-year old turboprop was last operated by the national carrier of Botswana on June 21, according to FlightRadar24 ADS-B data, and has since been in storage at Gaborone airport.
UK-based Aircraft Leasing & Management has been appointed as the remarketing agent for the aircraft, which has operated 39,099 hours and 35,990 cycles as of June 21, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.
Air Botswana continues to operate two larger ATR72-600 turboprops delivered directly from the manufacturer in 2018, as well as an ex-Saudi Aramco Aviation (Dammam) E170 with a second such aircraft yet to be delivered. It operates to Maun, Francistown, and Kasane domestically as well as to Cape Town International and Johannesburg O.R. Tambo in South Africa.
