JetAir Caribbean (4J, Curaçao) began commercial flight operations on November 24, 2019, with a passenger charter flight from St. Lucia Hewanorra via Curaçao to Kingston Norman Manley, the carrier said in a Facebook post.
Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows the flight was operated with Fokker 70 PJ-JAC (msn 11582), JetAir's only active aircraft at present. A second Fokker 70, msn 11585, is in the process of being added.
The Curaçaoan carrier obtained its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) on November 19, 2019, after more than a year of scrutiny. While it plans to eventually offer scheduled flights, as it works on all the necessary approvals, JetAir Caribbean will, for now, focus on the charter niche.
