FlyOne (5F, Chisinau International) will launch its first intercontinental service in April 2020 with planned 2x weekly flights from Chisinau International to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion, ch-aviation schedule analysis has revealed.
The privately-owned Moldovan carrier will initially use its own A319-100 to operate the route from April 9 to July 7 but plans to subsequently upgauge to an A320-200 wet-leased from Atlantis European Airways (Yerevan).
According to the ch-aviation schedules module, FlyOne currently connects Chisinau with Moscow Vnukovo, Parma, London Southend, Dublin International, Paris CDG, and Verona using a single own A320-200 and a second unit wet-leased from Atlantis European. A further three A320-200s are currently wet-leased to VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi Noi Bai International), while the airline's sole A319 has been grounded for maintenance since early November 2019.
Local rival Air Moldova (MLD, Chisinau International) currently operates 4x weekly between Chisinau and Tel Aviv, also using A319 aircraft. Arkia Israeli Airlines (IZ, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) plies the route weekly using an E195.
FlyOne will also add routes to Frankfurt Hahn (starting on April 6) and to St. Petersburg (July 6).
