Belavia (B2, Minsk National) has secured three E195-E2s on lease from AerCap, its first Embraer E2 jets. The Belarus carrier said in a statement that the first aircraft is scheduled to deliver in December 2020, with the remaining two aircraft due in March and April 2021.
"The replenishment of the fleet with the new generation Embraer-195-E2 aircraft will allow us to increase the frequency of scheduled flights to existing destinations and open new flights, which will increase the attractiveness of Minsk National as a full-fledged transit hub," Anatoly Gusarov, Belavia's CEO, said.
Belavia said its E195-E2s will feature nine seats in business class and 116 in economy. The new generation aircraft will be primarily operated on such routes as London Gatwick, Barcelona El Prat, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev, Munich, Paris CDG, Sochi, and Amsterdam Schiphol.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Belavia's mainline fleet entails four E175s, seven E195s, two CRJ200s, six B737-300s, six B737-500s, and eight B737-800s.
