Rossiya (FV, St. Petersburg) will from April 1 transfer all of its flights - those flown under its FV code - that are operated in conjunction with tour operator Biblio-Globus from Moscow Vnukovo to Moscow Sheremetyevo, according to a press release from the Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) subsidiary. The services will utilise Terminal D at the Russian capital city airport.
The services operated on behalf of the tour operator cover destinations in Russia, Czechia, Italy, Tunisia, Greece, Montenegro, Spain, Tanzania, Turkey, Cyprus, Thailand and the UAE. The only Rossiya flights which will be retained at Vnukovo will be its 60x weekly operation (7,920 weekly seats) to St. Petersburg according to a report by TASS.
As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, the airline recently closed its flights from Sheremetyevo and St. Petersburg to France (to Nice) and from St. Petersburg to Germany (to Düsseldorf and Hamburg Helmut Schmidt).
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Rossiya operates a fleet of 59 aircraft, including twenty A319-100s, seven A320-200s, thirteen B737-800s, nine B747-400s, five B777-300s, and five B777-300(ER)s.
