Several Myanma carriers have resumed flight operations following Myanmar National Airlines (UB, Yangon) and Air KBZ (Yangon) which have been plying domestic routes since early May.
According to the Myanmar Times, Mann Yadanarpon Airlines (7Y, Yangon) restarted its domestic flights on May 22, but only between Yangon and Sittwe. Thereafter, Air Thanlwin (ST, Yangon) resumed operations on May 30 with flights from Yangon and Mandalay International to Sittwe, Tachilek, Myitkyina, Keng Tung, Heho, and Khamtis. It was joined by Golden Myanmar Airlines (GMR, Yangon) on May 31 which also resumed domestic flights.
However, a ban on international flights, which lapsed on May 31, is still effective given the country's Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has yet to formally revoke the measure.
