YanAir (YE, Kyiv Igor Sikorsky) has announced it will restart scheduled passenger services on July 1, 2020, connecting Kyiv Boryspil, Kharkiv, and Odesa in Ukraine with Batumi in Georgia.
The Ukrainian leisure specialist, which operates three B737-400s, plans to fly daily from Kyiv and 2x weekly from each of the other two Ukrainian airports.
Before the pandemic grounded the carrier, YanAir operated one of its B737-400s under a long-term wet-lease agreement with Eritrean Airlines (B8, Asmara) and another one with Trans Air Congo - TAC (Q8, Pointe Noire). Both contracts ended in late March, although UR-CNP (msn 23980) remains parked at Asmara in Eritrea, according to Flightradar24 ADS-B data.
