The Government of Gabon reopened all airports in the country with a limit of two weekly international flights per airline as of July 1, 2020. Hotels and other tourist facilities have also been allowed to reopen, although Gabon's land borders remain closed.

Afrijet Business Service (J7, Libreville Leon M'Ba) suspended all scheduled services through the end of June 2020, but has since resumed 2x weekly flights between Libreville Leon M'Ba and Port Gentil until July 31. Tropical Air Gabon (Libreville Leon M'Ba) has yet to announce a formal resumption date.

Despite the reopening, Gabon's government said it has instructed its embassies to stop issuing tourist visas to citizens of the European Union after the bloc excluded the country's residents from its list of travellers allowed to enter the EU. Gabon said that through the principle of reciprocity, it would also not allow Europeans to visit.

The only scheduled EU-Gabon service is Air France's flight from Paris CDG to Libreville. The route is currently suspended, although the French airline operates non-regular charters to Gabon.
