Med-View Airline (Kano) will sell off two of its in-house B737-400s in an effort to raise funds needed to resume flight operations.
Minutes of a directors' meeting on July 23 indicate the carrier will sell off 5N-MAA (msn 28703), currently at Tallinn Lennart Meri undergoing maintenance, as well as 5N-MAB (msn 28704), currently stored at Lagos.
The dormant carrier will use proceeds from the sale "to enable the company to liquidate part of its indebtedness and inject part of the funds into its operations so as to jump-start it again after the COVID-19 pandemic total lockdown."
In addition, it will also return a CFM International CFM56-3C1 powerplant, esn 857871, to Aeolus which has already listed it as for sale.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Med-View also has a B737-500, 5N-BQM (msn 28055), on lease from AerCap that has been mothballed at Lagos alongside one in-house B777-200ER, 5N-BVY (msn 28529).
