Aruba Airlines (AG, Aruba) is set to add its first A321-200 in the form of P4-AAI (msn 2919), Skyliner Aviation has reported.

The 14.3-year-old twinjet was operated by Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) through May 2020, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. Following its return to lessor DAE Capital, it was parked at Dothan airport and re-registered as LZ-DAC. For the time being, it remains in Alabama pending redelivery to Aruba Airlines and is still included in the Bulgarian aircraft register.

Aruba Airlines' fleet currently entails two inactive A320-200s. Both were parked at Havana International airport in March 2020, although one of them, P4-AAH (msn 2975), was subsequently repositioned to San José Juan Santamaría on August 7, 2020. The carrier retired its sole CRJ200 at the end of July 2020, when it was forced to suspend its only active scheduled route - to Curaçao - due to border restrictions. The carrier has remained dormant since then.

Pre-COVID, Aruba Airlines had a long-term ACMI agreement with Voyageur Airways (VAL, North Bay), wet-leasing a CRJ200 and then a Dash 8-300 since mid-2019. The De Havilland Aircraft of Canada turboprop was returned to Canada and parked at North Bay in early March.
