Sky KG Airlines (KGK, Bishkek) has acquired a 27-year-old ex-Wamos Air (EB, Madrid Barajas) B747-400, its first of the type, Kyrgyz government records reflect.
EC-KXN (msn 25703) was added to the Central Asian state's register on June 8 as EX-47003. Sky KG told ch-aviation its plans to start operating the widebody jet, which has been at Bishkek since March 26, next month.
Aside from the Boeing, Sky KG's fleet also includes two ex-Red Wings Airlines (WZ, Moscow Domodedovo) Tu-204-100s, on lease from Ilyushin Finance, although neither has yet been deployed into commercial service and have been at Mineralnye Vody since early last year undergoing maintenance.
According to the Kyrgyz Civil Aviation Agency, Sky KG is licenced to operate passenger flights and aircraft needed to calibrate navigation aids.
