Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kyiv Boryspil) has announced it will damp-lease a B767-300ER from Portugal's euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) to operate long-haul leisure charter flights from Kyiv Boryspil prior to the delivery of its in-house B777-300(ER)s.
The Ukrainian carrier said flights chartered by tour operator Kompas Tour will connect the Ukrainian capital with Punta Cana, Malé, and Cancún, and are scheduled to begin on December 27, 2021. The aircraft will be partially crewed by UIA's personnel.
According to the seat map published by the tour operator, the aircraft will be equipped with 16 business class seats and 246 economy class seats. euroAtlantic Airways confirmed that the aircraft involved will be CS-TSU (msn 33048). The airline operates six B767-300(ER)s in total.
In turn, Ukraine International Airlines does not operate any active widebody aircraft at present. Its four B767-300(ER)s and sole B777-200ER are all stored at Kyiv Boryspil airport. It plans to add two B777-300(ER)s in the second quarter of 2022.
