Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) resumes daily commercial flights from Singapore Changi to Bali, the Indonesian holiday island, on February 16, 2022, using 337-seater B787-10 capacity, the airline confirmed.
“The resumption of daily flights to Bali is part of SIA’s long-term commitment to grow Indonesia‘s tourism industry. SIA passenger network currently covers 64 destinations in 34 countries, and we will do our best to promote Indonesia. Our services to Denpasar and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta will continue to provide flexibility to our customers who wish to travel to and from Indonesia,” General Manager Indonesia Alvin Seah said in a statement.
The airline said it would continue to closely monitor demand and would adjust its network regularly to match capacity to demand.
A so-called travel bubble between Singapore and the Indonesian resort islands of Batam and Bintan came into effect on January 25, allowing quarantine free stay.
The resumption of flights follows new Indonesian government travel regulations issued earlier this month, under which terms mandatory quarantine has been shortened from six nights and seven days to five days/four nights for fully-vaccinated travellers, effective from February 1.
However, a shortlist of 18 nationalities that may fly directly to Bali remains unchanged. It gives the nod to travellers from Bahrain, China, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Kuwait, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
