Texel Air (XLR, Bahrain International) has inked an agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for two B737-800(BCF)s which, once delivered, will add to the two it has already ordered.
The Bahraini air cargo specialist did not disclose any delivery dates for the newly purchased duo. It currently operates a fleet of one B737-300(F), two B737-700(FC)s, and one B737-800(BCF) (with a second due to deliver by year-end).
“Our customers have responded very positively to the operation, performance and capabilities of the first B737-800BCF, which we began operating this year,” George Chisholm, the chief executive officer of Chisholm Enterprises and Texel Air, said. “This initial response boosted our confidence in the product and we decided to add two more BCF to our fleet to help us meet our ever-increasing demand. Through the B737-800BCF we have been able to expand our destinations and increase our payload.”
