The Dominican Republic's Cloud Air Aviation Services is in the process of including two Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 100s for 3x weekly frequencies between the Caribbean nation and the United States, according to a regulatory filing.

The charter carrier has applied for a renewal of its Foreign Operator's Permit (FOP) and exemption authority from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to engage in foreign charters of passengers, property, and mail between points in the Dominican Republic and the United States, according to a filing on December 14, 2022.

Cloud Air was certified in June 2016 to conduct non-stop charters in the Dominican Republic but wants to expand its charter operations to the US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands with a four-seater Cessna (single turboprop) 172N Skyhawk, HI-451 (msn 172699630), and the two King Airs.

The company is 90% owned by Dominican citizen Giancarlo Hernandez Rodriguez, who, according to his disclosure to the DOT, has been in the aviation sector since 2013.
