Recently certified Valletta Airlines (HOT, Malta International) has applied for a US Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) and an exemption to begin charter services to the United States.
The ACMI/charter specialist did not reveal any specific plans in the filing but requested an expedited review to allow it to enter the US market as soon as possible.
Valletta Airlines currently operates a single A320-200, 9H-NZL (msn 2388), with plans to add two more of the type, as well as two A330-200s later this year. Despite completing certification in the first half of February 2023, the airline has yet to launch commercial flight operations.
