TAAG Angola Airlines (DT, Luanda 4 De Fevereiro) has ordered three additional A220-300s from Azorra during the ongoing 2023 Paris Air Show.

The three aircraft will come from Azorra's existing order book for the type, which, according to the ch-aviation fleets ownership module, comprises twenty-six A220-300s (including four already delivered to airBaltic). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2024.

The new order came just one day after TAAG ordered four A220-300s from Aviation Capital Group. The Angolan state-owned carrier also has six units of the type on order from Air Lease Corporation. Deliveries of those were originally planned to begin in 2023 but, owing to the manufacturer's delays, will not commence before April 2024.

TAAG plans to use the A220s to replace its five ageing B737-700s and grow its medium-sized narrowbody fleet.
