Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) has signed a dry-lease contract with CDB Aviation covering six B737-8s for its AnadoluJet (Ankara Esenboga) division.

The aircraft will come from the lessor's existing Boeing (BOE, Washington National) order book and will deliver in 2024-2025.

As a part of its overall growth strategy, Turkish Airlines aims to expand AnadoluJet's fleet to around 200 aircraft. The low-cost division currently operates four A320-200Ns, twelve A321-200NX, seven MAX 8s , and thirty-nine B737-800s. It began adding the MAX and neo-generation aircraft last year, having previously stuck to a single-type B737-800 fleet. As it moves towards obtaining its own AOC, AnadoluJet intends to continue with a mixed Airbus and Boeing fleet strategy.

CDB Aviation currently owns one A320-200N and one B737-800 operated by AnadoluJet, as well as one B777-300(ER) operated by Turkish mainline. The lessor has a portfolio of 39 delivered B737-8s and a further 19 on order, according to the ch-aviation fleets ownership module.
