Blue Air (Romania) (BLA, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has been put up for sale after owner, Nelu Iordache, was recently arrested for embezzlement. According to Romanian press reports, following Iordache's detention, the LCC's management was removed with a new one, headed by Rudolf Vizental with Adrian Ionascu as deputy general manager and Elenne Philip, voting to take on board a new investor. Thus far, six potential buyers - Romanian and foreign - have expressed interest in taking over the airline, whose turnover in 2011 amounted to EUR 150 million. The Transylvania Insolvency House (CITR) has set a deadline of two months for the transaction to be completed.
