Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) has delayed the launch of its much anticipated Shannon to Boston flights for a second time; this time until February 4. In a statement, Aer Lingus blamed the delay on an "unforeseen scheduling delay" in the delivery of B757-200 aircraft to be used on the route. The flights were originally scheduled to have commenced on January 20. The Irish carrier is wet-leasing a total of three ex-Finnair (AY, Helsinki Vantaa) 757-200s from Air Contractors (Dublin International), all of which are currently in Shannon awaiting entry into service.
