SkyWork Airlines (Bern) has given up plans to transfer its flight operations to the air operator certificate of partner MHS Aviation (Germany) (M2, Munich). The Swiss regional carrier currently operating five Do328-100s and two Dash 8-400s had planned to return its own Swiss AOC to the Swiss civil aviation authority BAZL by the end of January 2014 and to transfer its aircraft and operations to MHS therefore becoming a virtual operator. The BAZL has now approved a request from SkyWork to extend its air operator certificate temporarily until the end of October 2014 giving the carrier more time for restructuring.
