Farnair Switzerland (Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH) has acquired Transmile Group Berhad's 45% stake in Thailand's K-Mile Asia (8K, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi). In a press release issued shortly after the announcement, Kedchai Benjaathonsirikul, the CEO of K- Mile, stated that his airline's partnership with Farnair would bring positive results in the form of newer B737-400(F) freighters as well as the development of its Bangkok Suvarnabhumi hub with the development of new routes to emerging markets.
Suan Plu Thani Limited of Thailand remains the majority shareholder in K-Mile.
The ch-aviation aircraft database shows K-Mile Air's fleet currently consists of an inoperative B727-200(F) stored at Utapao, Thailand.
