Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland International) has taken official delivery of its first B787-9, ZK-NZE (msn 34334), following a ceremony held at Everett earlier this week. As the launch customer for the type, Air New Zealand will use its order for ten airframes to replace its outgoing fleet of B767-300(ER)s.
The aircraft is scheduled to see service on flights to Perth International initially followed by Tokyo Narita, Shanghai Pudong and Sydney Kingsford Smith.
