Volga-Dnepr Airlines (VI, Ulyanovsk Vostochny) is to add two more An-124s - RA-82082 (cn 08-04) and RA-82083 (cn 08-05) - to its fleet of ten such aircraft following parent Volga-Dnepr Group's signing of a finance lease agreement with JSC Sberbank Leasing.
“The An-124-100 aircraft acquisition is in line with the Group's Strategy 2020 in which it plans to expand its fleet with Russian and foreign-made aircraft,” Sergey Shklyanik, Group Senior Vice-President, said.
Aside from the Ruslan, Volga Dnepr Airlines also operates five Ilyushin Il-76s and specializes in ad-hoc charter flights hauling outsized and heavy freight shipments.
