The Alberta Government Air Transportation Services (Edmonton International) has sold a Dash 8-100 - C-GFSJ (cn 17) - to Canadian lessor Avmax for an undisclosed sum. The turboprop is currently in storage at Calgary awaiting onward placement.
In February 2015, former provincial premier Jim Prentice announced the winding up of the carrier as part of government spending cuts. Aside from the Q100, AGATS's other aircraft - a trio of Beech (twin turboprop) KingAirs - have also been sold off.
