RAC - Ryukyu Air Commuter (Okinawa Naha) is planning to begin commercial Dash 8-400(C) operations during the second quarter of the year AirlineRoute has reported.
The JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) partner plans to deploy its sole aircraft of the type, JA81RC (cn 4505), into revenue service from April 15 onwards on select daily flights between Okinawa Naha and each of Amami, Ishigaki, Kumejima and between Ishigaki and Yonaguni Jima.
RAC has a further four Q400(C)s on order from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau). Its current fleet consists of four Dash 8-100s and one Dash 8-300 already in service.
